PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for detecting an error in base- station installation location information with reduced human work and improved calculation efficiency. SOLUTION: In a mobile communication system constituted by base stations 12, 14 and 16 each coupled with a wired network 18 and mobile equipment 10, an error detection system includes, error detection equipment 20 coupled with the wired network 18, a base-station installation location information database 28 for storing installation location information of each base station corresponding to base-station identifier, and maintenance supervision equipment 30. Error detection equipment 20 is further constituted by a reception portion 22 for receiving a base-station identifier from mobile equipment 10, an acquisition portion 24 for acquiring base-station installation location information from base-station location information database 28, and an error detection portion 26 for determining error in the location information using an output result from acquisition portion 24. |
