PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and a recording medium recording image processing program, with which a color image data are converted to monochromatic image data for clearly distinguishing a main object and a background in an image. SOLUTION: The color image data composed of respective RGB components are converted to luminance component data and color difference component data and a color difference component to be intensified is set. Then, a correction for intensifying these luminance component data is performed to a pixel having these color difference component data to be intensified and on the basis of these corrected luminance component data, the color image data are converted to monochromatic image data.
