<p>PURPOSE: A VQTU(Vocoder Quality Test Unit) for an IMT(International Mobile Telecommunication)-2000 system and a method therefor are provided to test the quality of a vocoder through an MTH(Main Test Handling) in a test Q and M(Operation and Management) BSC(Base Station Controller. CONSTITUTION: A TSM(Test Manger)(222) transmits a command message to a vocoder to an MTH(234) and receives a tested result from the MTH(234). The MTH(234) receives the command message to access PLD(Program Load Data), transmits a message to an MSH(232) in the case of obtaining equip information, receives a message from the MSH(232), and transmits the message to a TCC(TCB Call Control)(242) in case that a processor approves the message. The MSH(232) accesses the PLD and transmits a state of the processor to the MTH(234). The TCC(242) receives the message from the MTH(234) to transmit the message to a TVH(TCB Vocoder Handling)(244), and responds to the MTH(234) in the case of receiving a tested result from the TVH(244). The TVH(244) perform a test by the message transmitted from the TCC(242) and transmits the tested result to the TCC(242).</p> |
