A color matching job can be separated from a painting job site in repair- painting by ordering a color matching job to a color matcher over a network. An orderer prepares a color matching job order consisting of measured color data, types of paints, required amount of paints and delivery times in the vicinity of a repair location and transmits them to a selected color matcher (1). The color matcher checks a color-matchable limit based on specified paints, then prepares color-matched paints (3), and send them to the orderer by way of home delivery or the like (5). A painter test-paints using supplie d paints (6), and, if the test is OK, performs an actual painting. A color matcher may be selected online by an intermediary, or may be selected online by bidding.
