<p>In one embodiment, a method for shopping over the internet is disclosed (see Fig. 1). In this embodiment, the method includes generating information for an item of merchandise to be purchased for a customer, sending the information to an agent (102), establishing an internet connection between the agent and a merchant's web site (102, 106, 110, 108, 104) and enabling the agent to purchase the item using a time limited transaction code. In another embodiment, a method for shopping privately over the internet is disclosed. In this embodiment, a customer may shop privately through a firewall on the secure site and purchase products from merchants where the only information disclosed is a time limit transaction code. In order to maintain the customer's privacy, the product may be shipped to the customer through a drop-ship provider so that the merchant does not know the true address of the customer.</p> |
