A method for ensuring a possibility of obtaining given communications in a privileged way for some of the users of a communication network

The privileged user circuit reservation method has communications established by switching nodes (2E,2F,2G) from terminals (1A-1E) via communications arteries (3EF,3FG,3GE). Circuit segments are reserved where it is expected that privileged access may be taken up. An allocation is made on the dynamic circuit corresponding to the traffic between privileged users on terminals, prior to the demand being realised.
