The invention relates to a method for detecting at least one nucleic acid (targets) with a particular base sequence (target sequence) in a sample, by hybridization to at least one immobilized probe. The invention also relates to the use of this method and to analysis kits for carrying out this method. The invention is characterized by the use of a nucleic acid oligomer as a competitor for hybridization in order to distinguish between a perfect match and a mismatch.
