TREAD FOR PASSENGER CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tread for a passenger conveyor that permits the molding of a repairing shaped piece in a chipping portion of a tread cleat and firm fixation thereof in a filling relation to the chipping portion. SOLUTION: A multitude of treads 1 are connected into a band and are circulated, and a multitude of cleats 2 are arranged parallel to form a tread surface 3 of each tread 1. A repairing shaped piece 10 of a hard synthetic resin is formed in a filling relation in a chipping portion 4 of the cleat 2 and is provided with a thin plate portion 11 in connection with the chipping portion 4 and in contact with a bottom 6 between cleats 2. The repairing shaped piece 10 is fixed to the tread 1 via the end face of the chipping portion 4 of the cleat 2 and via the thin plate portion 11. The adhesion surface of the repairing shaped piece 10 to the tread 1 is thus increased to provide firm adhesion of the repairing shaped piece 10 to the tread 1 and prevent troubling separation of the repairing shaped piece 10.
