PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization oven for uprooted lumber for which various clinker measures have been taken. SOLUTION: This carbonization oven has an almost cylindrical oven body; a charging port which is for charging a raw material and is installed at the top of the oven body; and a raw material spreading apparatus which is for uniformly charging the raw material into the oven body and is installed just below the charging port. The spreading apparatus has a raw material spreading device hung just below the charging port and having a circular conical or pyramidal top surface.
