<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for burning the arsenic containing object to be treated, by which arsenic oxide is solidified in a gas phase process and the solidified arsenic oxide is efficiently recovered, and to provide an apparatus using the method. SOLUTION: The burning apparatus 10 is constituted so that the object to be treated is crushed by a crusher 1, the crushed material is burnt in a combustion furnace 2, the combustion discharged gas from the furnace 2 is treated at a cooling unit 3, an NOx removing step part 4, an HCl/SOx removing step part 5, an arsenic oxide removing step part 6 and an activated coke filter 7, and the treated gas is discharged through a chimney 8. In the part 6, a fresh air introducing pipeline 61 provided with a blower 62 is connected to a discharged gas main pipeline 11 through which the combustion gas is introduced from the part 5. A dust collector 63 is arranged on the downstream side of the pipeline 11 for collecting/removing the arsenic oxide which is solidified by lowering the temperature of the combustion gas than the solidification temperature of arsenic oxide by introducing fresh air through the pipeline 61 into the combustion gas flowing through the pipeline 11.</p> |
