PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a follow-up running control system to enable easy variation of a follow-up target vehicle by designating a plurality of preceding vehicles capable of being detected by a distance measuring device at a display device and deciding the follow-up target vehicle by selecting from the vehicles by a drive during starting of follow-up running control and enabling easy variation of the follow-up target vehicle by indicating other preceding vehicle when the follow-up target vehicle is not proper. SOLUTION: In a follow-up running control system provided with a distance measuring device 101, a photographing device 102, a cruise controller 103, a display device 111, and an operation command input device 113, data of the distance measuring device 101 and a photograph image by the photographing device 102 are synthesized. Information on a running vehicle capable of effecting follow-up during cruise control operation is displayed and a follow-up target vehicle deciding device 110 is provided to decide the follow-up target vehicle selected according to a command from an operation command input device 113.
