PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-cultivating material and an artificial ridging both having voids necessary for the respiration of plant roots and water-holding ability enough to supply nutrition and water necessary for plants to grow, and suitable for growing plants, and also to provide a method for cultivating plants and plants cultivated by the method. SOLUTION: This plant-cultivating material comprises porous hydrophilic macromolecular compound with an average pore size of 0.1-2 mm or its hydrogel, and the second objective artificial ridging is characterized by containing the plant-cultivating material. The third objective method for cultivating plants is characterized by comprising using the plant-cultivating material or the artificial ridging, and the fourth objective plants are cultivated by the method. |
