PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method including a effective cleaning process capable of cleaning many filters in a short time and free from the deterioration of the filters due to the cleaning and a process for performing waste water treatment simply in a short time, and a compact and low cost device capable of being used as a common vessel for cleaning, rinsing and waste water treatment. SOLUTION: The method for cleaning the filter for the air conditioning includes a step for repeating the dipping and the pulling up of the filter in cleaning water continuously or intermittently while vibrating, a step for rinsing with rinsing water, a step for flocculating suspended particles by adding polyaluminum chloride(PAC) and a high molecular flocculating agent, and a step for passing current through electrodes for electrolytic floating, floating the flocculated material on the water surface by the bubble generated from the surface of the electrodes to form froth and scraping the froth to remove it and the cleaning device is provided.
