PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke device capable of increasing deflecting efficiency, assembly accuracy, and assembly without providing any special positioning rib for retaining a deflection yoke core and reducing the number of windable positions. SOLUTION: This deflection yoke device 1 comprises a core of generally hollow rotated shape 3 gradually divergent from the neck toward the screen, a first bobbin 2 installed along the inner surface of the core 3 and winding a horizontal deflection coil thereon, and a second bobbin 6 installed on the outside of the first bobbin 2 and winding a vertical deflection coil thereon. A plurality of specified winding ribs provided on the neck of the second bobbin 6 are used also as the positioning ribs, and the neck outer surface of the first bobbin 2 is retained inside the plurality of positioning ribs 5bC and 5bD.
