PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up the transfer rate of pattern data. SOLUTION: This method of the pattern data transfer consists of: pattern complication to perform binary conversion and compression of alias character strings where the pattern data are described in an ASCII form into binary n bit numerical strings and to store the strings in a binary data file; and pattern load to extend the pattern data stored in the binary data file in a compressed form and to transfer it to a pattern memory. Numerical strings of x bits are generated by deleting bits common to the n bit numerical strings of each alias character in the pattern complication, the x bit numerical strings are compressed and then stored in the binary data file together with binary common bit restoration data to restore the common bits. |
