PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make restoration from an error without user's labor and thereby make a printer receivable soon after the error occurs. SOLUTION: Parallel ports for communicating with a host and an error- checking function, which checks an error when data are transferred from the host, are provided. When an obstacle to the transfer of the data from the host occurs in the error-checking mode, the initialization for the printer is automatically executed. |
