PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surge protecting circuit which is applicable to a terminal to which a signal is applied, irrespectively of on/off of a power source of a semiconductor integrated circuit, and can reduce a circuit scale. SOLUTION: This surge protecting circuit for protecting the internal circuit of a semiconductor integrated circuit from surge voltages which are applied to a plurality of terminals 1a, 1b of the semiconductor integrated circuit from the outside is equipped with diodes 3a, 3b through which surge currents due to the surge voltages applied to the respective terminals 1a, 1b are made to flow, and a diode series circuit 4 which is arranged in series in common between the diodes 3a, 3b and the ground. The surge currents from the diodes 3a, 3b are made to flow to the ground through the diode series circuit 4. |
