PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal device, capable of performing highly functional individual authentication and handwritten character authentication without sacrificing making the device compact, light-weight or long-time operation property. SOLUTION: When individual authentication by voice is needed, a portable information terminal controls portable radio data communication equipment to establish a data communication with an external high performance PC (S21) and urges a user to input voice necessary for the individual authentication to a microphone (S22). The data, obtained by making the voice inputted from the microphone a PCM, is transmitted to the high-performance PC (S24). The high-performance PC applies individual authentication processing by voice to the received data (S29) and transmits the results to the portable information terminal (S30). When the portable information terminal receives the data of the authentication results from the high performance PC (S26), the portable information terminal displays the results to the user, as though the individual authentication processing by voice has been conducted within the portable information terminal (S27).
