PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery of large capacity. SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery 10 is formed by laminating a positive electrode current collector 2, a positive electrode active material layer 7, a separator 8, a negative electrode active material layer 6 and a negative electrode current collector 3 in this order. The positive electrode active material layer 7 comprises cobalt, lithium and an additive containing at least one kind selected from a group of manganese, iron, copper, titanium, molybdenum, tungsten, chromium, vanadium, niobium, tantalum, zinc, aluminum, gallium, indium, tin and lead. The mass ratio of the additive to cobalt is 5-20 mass%. |
