PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate reduction in a service life of a sleeve due to concentra tion of heat generation, at a part of the sleeve to generate deterioration at the part by thermal fatigue, and eliminate fixing irregularity due to deterioration of the part of the sleeve. SOLUTION: Heating temperature control is conducted by use of a first control means in heating action time, when a subject to be heated passes a nip part, and stand-by temperature control is conducted by use of a second control means in stand-by time, when the object material to be heated does not pass the nip part in this heating device. It is provided with a heat generating position changing means for changing heating positions in an electromagnetic induction heat generating member by each specified condition under stand-by temperature control.
