The display panel includes a metallic box (2) with a transparent window (5). The display is provided by a band (7) which carries a display, rolled on two parallel rollers (8,9). Each roller is driven by an electric motor-reducing gear assembly. The frequency of supply to one of the motors is higher than that to the other motor, ensuring that there is always a guaranteed tension in the band keeping the display panel flat.
