PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an inexpensive image processing system, having superior forgery preventive function in which an image data controller controls the destination of an image signal, depending on whether a decision circuit is incor porated in each device, at scan printing operation where a printer prints out an image read out from a scanner via a network. SOLUTION: Device information indicating whether a decision circuit for comparing an image signal with a specific image and outputting the comparison results is incorporated in scanners 101 and 103 and printers 102 and 104 has been acquired from each device, before an image signal is transferred, and the destination of an image signal transferred from any scanner is controlled, based on the acquired device information.
