PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power on reset circuit that can surely initialize circuits needing initialization after application of power such as a latch circuit and a flip-flop used for an integrated circuit. SOLUTION: A power-on reset signal PON outputted from an initialization end signal detection section 3 is brought into a high level as soon as a power-on pulse generating section 2 generates a one-shot pulse simultaneously at application of power so as to bring all initialization end signals from initialization completion discrimination sections 4-1 to 4--n to an active level, which have initialization simulation circuits that are designed to be hardly initialized more than a latch circuit and a flip-flop in the integrated circuit. After the initialization end signal detection section 3 detects the reception of all the active levels, the initialization end signal detection section 3 sets the power-on reset signal PON to a low level.
