PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission system that can transmit/receive a facsimile document with the same high image quality as that of a printed image by a printer function. SOLUTION: Upon receipt of an image transmission instruction and a printer language from a personal computer 21 via a PC interface means 1, a PC transmission detection means 3 of the image transmission system 20 recognizes them, the system 20 stores the printer language to a memory 4, calls a communication network 23, connects with an opposite image transmission system 22 via the communication network, and allows a BFT(Binary File Transfer) control section 5 to transmit the printer language to the opposite system 22 in compliance with the facsimile transmission system of the ITU-TT. 30BFT. The opposite system responds to an incoming call from the communication network 23, a communication contents recognition means 6 recognizes whether or not the information received from the communication network 23 is the printer language, the BFT control section 5 receives the printer language when the information is the printer language, a printer language interpreter means 2 converts the printer language into image information while interpreting the printer language and a recording section 16 records the image information. |
