PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus having facsimile functions, in which only the part pertaining to facsimile transmission can be adjusted automatically and accurately in a short time, without variations at shipment time. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus, where data read out from a document being transmitted is processed at an image processing section 4 according to predetermined parameters and facsimile transmission data in a different data form is generated and transmitted, a main control section 3 comprises means 31 for holding predetermined fixed reference data and a means 32 for comparing data transmitted from the image processing section 4 with reference data held by the reference data holding means 31 and regulating parameters at the image- processing section 4 in correspondence with the comparison results.
