The invention relates to a method for regulating the transmission power of a transmitter (BS) in a radio system, for a transmission of data (D) to a receiver (MS) by means of a radio interface. The receiver (MS) determines an actual value (PR) for a qualitative parameter of the received signal, makes a comparison with a set value (Psoll) and, thereafter, transmits comparison information (TPC) on the result of the comparison to the transmitter. Adjustment of the transmission power (PT) of the transmitter (BS) is made based on a correction value for the set value (Psoll) of the qualitative parameter of the received signal, in addition to comparison information (TPC) from the receiver (MS). |
