<p>An interlocking building block assembly comprising a building block (10) having opposed front and rear walls (12, 14) and opposed end (16, 18) walls joining the front and rear walls, the front, rear and end walls defining substantially parallel top and bottom faces of the block whereby the block can be seated on two corresponding blocks in a course below and support two corresponding blocks in a course above, and passage means through the block between the front, rear and end walls from the top face to the bottom face, the assembly further comprising key means (30) slidably supported in the passage means, the key means having groove means (36) thereacross from front to rear at one end which is adapted to accommodate top or bottom end portions of adjacent end walls of two corresponding blocks in a course below or above, respectively, when the key means is slidably displaced in the passage means such that the one end of the key means projects from the passage means.</p> |
