The body strengthening component for a private motor vehicle is installed in the boot between the rear wall termination (7), wheel arch (3) and side section (4) and rigidly connected to them, forming a spatial and approximately box-form structure (8) which is also connected to the floor panel. The box-form structure has at least one opening on the inside of the boot in such a way to ensure a manual access into the space enclosed by the box-form structure.
