<p>A manifold assembly (1300) and method of making the same is disclosed. The manifold assembly (1300) is preferably made of a polymer. A mold (1400) is used to make the manifold portion (100) of the manifold assembly (1300) such that small diameter passageways and valve seats are formed enabling use of small solenoids. Since pressure is applied to small diameter plunger seals (valves) driven by solenoid plungers, small solenoids may be used because the force on the solenoid plungers is correspondingly low. The manifold assembly (1300) is comprised of a manifold portion (100) and a plug portion. The manifold portion (100), as disclosed, has an inlet port (101) for the supply of air pressure. An inlet housing (107) in which an inlet solenoid (304) is housed, a suplly port (118) for supplying air to or exhausting air from a reservoir, and an exhaust housing (108) in which an exhaust solenoid (305) is housed are connected to a chamber (301).</p> |
