The invention relates to a method for the selective production of chlorination products of formula (I), wherein R1 and R2, independently of each other, represent H, Cl or R1 or R2 represents COOH or R1 and R2 together form a group C=O and R3 represents H, a phenyl or benzyl radical which can optionally be substituted with up to 5, especially up to 3 radicals from the following group: CH3, F, Cl, CN; CH2X(X=Cl, Br, OH), by reacting compounds of formula (II) with chlorine gas at a temperature > 140 DEG C, especially a temperature of between 160 and 220 DEG C, preferably at a temperature of between 170 and 190 DEG C, this reaction being carried in a microreactor.
