PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such a trouble that a user searches for film having identification information which does not exist when photographing data to be perused is made to correspond to the real film if the user does not recognize that the identification information is not imprinted on the film. SOLUTION: This camera capable of setting the identification information peculiar to film for the loaded film 5 and having a storage means 110 for storing information concerning photographing including the identification information is equipped with a control means 100 discriminating whether or not an identification information imprinting means 31 imprinting the identification information on the film is provided on a film loading chamber cover 30 attached to a camera main body and performing operation to allow the user to recognize the discriminated result in the case of discriminating that the identification information imprinting means is not provided thereon.
