PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower capable of improving volumetric effi ciency by preventing confluence of a boundary-layer flow. SOLUTION: An opening 23a for suctioning outside air is installed at an end of a fan cover 23, the outside air is suctioned from the opening 23a by rotating a centrifugal impeller 30 driven by an electrical motor arranged in the fan cover 23 and the boundary-layer flow from the surface 23b of the fan cover 23 is isolated by a boundary-layer flow isolating plate 37 in order to prevent inflow of the boundary-layer flow toward the opening 23a along a surface 23b of the fan cover 23 when suctioning the outside air from the opening 23a with a rotation of the impeller 30.
