PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve positioner capable of achieving high efficiency of automatic tuning by resetting a gain in a section to be controlled, in particular, disturbance of hysteresis acting greatly when performing automatic tuning in the valve positioner. SOLUTION: This valve positioner consists of a position sensor detecting an input signal setting a opening of a valve and the opening of the valve, a control operation part controlling and operating so that the opening of the valve agrees with the input signal based on a deviation between a valve opening signal obtained by the position sensor and the input signal to generate a control signal, an electropneumatic conversion mechanism part generating a flow rate of air based on the control signal, and a pressure amplifier supplying pneumatic pressure based on the flow rate of air generated in the electropneumatic conversion mechanism part to the valve. The section to be controlled which is constituted by the electropneumatic conversion mechanism part, the pressure amplifier, the position sensor, and the valve has a gain measuring means measuring the gain in the section to be controlled when it receives an automatically set signal.
