PURPOSE: A hot metal desulfurizing agent used in mechanic agitation type desulfurization is provided to economically and efficiently conduct desulfurization. CONSTITUTION: The hot metal desulfurizing agent comprises 80 wt.% of a mixture of powdery quick lime having a particle size of 1 to 3 mm and fluorite, wherein the weight ratio of powdery quick lime and fluorite is 7:3; and 20 wt.% of Al dross containing 30 to 40 % of metal Al.
