PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device capable of accurately adjusting an image forming position and color matching and also, capable of preventing the increase of the cost of the devices, as for a color image forming device provided with a color image forming position adjusting function and a density adjusting function, specially, as for a tandem color image forming device. SOLUTION: A patch is formed by compounding, for example, a magenta (M) printing pattern with a black (K) printing pattern. In the case the deviation does not occur, the relative deviation of the printing positions is detected by constituting so that magenta (M) printing may be performed in an area where a black (K) printing pattern is not printed, and also, constituting so that the printing position may be shifted in the case the deviation occurs in an image forming unit for forming the magenta (M) image and the density may become high. Besides, at the same time, the density is adjusted, and also, a confirmation processing is previously performed for both of the printing position adjustment and the density adjustment, then, both of the printing position and the density are efficiently adjusted. |
