PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary lock which can be easily, quickly, and positively attached. SOLUTION: The auxiliary lock includes a pinching portion 4 which pinches an indoor-side protruding frame body 3 forming an opening-side door frame member 2 of a hinged door 1 and protruding in cross section, a connecting rod which extends from one end of the pinching portion along an internal surface of the opening-side door frame member and crosses the surface to be protruded out of a room, and a locking portion 15 which is arranged at the tip of the hinged door and engaged with an outdoor face end of the hinged door, to thereby lock the door. The pinching portion includes a base piece 5 making contact with an outdoor surface of the indoor-side protruding frame body, a male screw portion 6 attached to the tip of the base piece so as to extend toward the indoor side in an almost perpendicular direction, and a checking member 8 which is movably attached to the male screw portion 6 and comes in contact with an indoor surface of the indoor-side protruding frame body. Further, the checking member 8 has, in its nut-like engaging member fitted onto the male screw portion, a resilient material which is arranged on a rear surface of a female screw portion screwed onto the male screw portion, for pressing the female screw portion toward the male screw portion, a female screw portion holding plate extending from the female screw portion toward the base piece, and an axially supporting portion rotatably installing the female screw portion holding plate in the nut-like engaging member.
