PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, having comparatively uniform film thickness and satisfactory electrostatic characteristics. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor through successively laminating of at least a charge generating layer, a first charge transfer layer and a second charge transfer layer on a conductive substrate, a coating liquid for first charge transfer layer containing at least a binder resin, a charge transfer substance and a solvent is applied on the charge generating layer and dried at the temperature equal to or higher than 40 deg.C and lower than the boiling point of the solvent. Then the coating liquid for second charge transfer layer containing at least the binder resin, the charge transfer substance and the solvent is applied on the first charge transfer layer.
