PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the miniaturization of a drive source, a power saving, and the improvement of the durability of pan and tilt driving by reducing the driving load of a camera apparatus equipped with a universal head. SOLUTION: This camera apparatus driven to be tilted is provided with a camera unit, a supporting means connected to the camera unit and supporting the camera unit so as to turn in a tilt direction, and a connection member for connecting the camera unit to the outside of the camera unit through the supporting means. In the camera apparatus, the connection member is formed to be spiral around the tilt rotary shaft of the camera unit in the supporting means.
