PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for observing and repairing the combustion chamber of a coke oven, which can avoid obstacles on the coke oven to observe and repair the whole combustion chamber of the coke oven and further expand the strokes of lances to precisely observe or repair the whole walls of the combustion chamber in the depth direction. SOLUTION: This device for observing and repairing the combustion chamber of the coke oven, which is obtained by loading a transverse carriage 14 on a travel carriage 13 traveling on rails 12 set on the oven of the coke oven 11, and disposing on the transverse carriage 14 elevation guides 17 and elevation carriages 18a, 18b holding lances 15, 16 to be upward or downward moved in the elevation guides 17, and is used by elevating or lowering the elevation carriages 18a, 18b to upward or downward move the lances 15, 16 to observe and repair the combustion chamber of the coke oven 11, characterized by linking the elevation carriages 18a, 18b to endless tracks attached to the elevation guides 17.
