PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a specimen processing device. SOLUTION: This specimen processing device comprises a bottomed vessel body for housing one of a specimen and a reagent, a tub arranged in conformation with the subject and equipped with a memory, a reading means for reading the management information written in the memory, and a specimen processing means for processing the specimen on the basis of the management information. Since the specimen is processed on the basis of the management information written in the memory, the operation of an input device for processing the specimen and the use of a recording device for writing the management information are dispensed with. Accordingly, the operability of the specimen processing device can be improved. Since the connection of an external computer system, an operation keyboard, a display for indication or the like to a CPU is also dispensed with, the cost of the specimen processing device can be reduced.
