New indolo (2, 3-a) quinolizidines having the following formulae (I) and (II) (FORMULA) wherein R is a radical -COOC<u2>uH<u5>u, -COOH, -CN, a primary or secondary methylenamino radical, a group methylenamido or, with the nitrogen of the indolo nucleus, a group N-CO-NH-CH<u2>u or N-CO-, as well as the salts of acid addition, therapeutically acceptable of these bodies.
