PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting and lowering movable scaffold for arch construction for an arch bridge which need not construct a large-sized lifting and lowering scaffold in an arch abutment. SOLUTION: A crest side lifting and lowering movable scaffold 6 provided with a crest side lifting and lowering frame 5 comprising a crest side lower frame 4a and a crest side upper frame 4b takes reaction force on a lateral shaft locked in a lateral hole to be liftably mounted on a crest side lifting and lowering movable rail 3 having a number of the lateral holes fixed on the crest side of an existing block 1, a trough side lifting and lowering movable scaffold 10 provided with a trough side lifting and lowering frame 9 comprising a trough side lower frame 8a and a trough side upper frame 8b takes reaction force on a lateral shaft locked in a lateral hole to be liftably mounted on a trough side lifting and lowering movable rail 7 having a number of the lateral holes fixed on the trough side of an existing block, a side part scaffold 11 is rotatably supported on one scaffold, and slidably supported on the other scaffold.
