PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate with excellent optical characteristics and a liquid crystal display device using the same. SOLUTION: The polarizing plate consists of a polarizer formed by dying, cross-linking, stretching and drying a synthetic resin film and a protective film laminated together. When a width of the polarizer on leaving a final bath and that on lamination with the protective film are expressed as A and B respectively, the polarizing plate satisfies the following relation 0.80<=B/A<=0.95. |
