PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler whose size is made compact by reducing the heating area in the rear heat-transfer portion. SOLUTION: A boiler body 1 comprises a furnace 2, where a rear heat transfer portion 3 is formed at the downstream side, and vapor is injected to a certain portion in the rear heat transfer portion 3, so that H2O partial pressure in the exhaust gas is raised, and non-luminous flame emission, by which heat is transferred from substance in the exhaust gas to the surroundings, is accelerated. Further, more the amount of exhaust gas increases by the arrant of the vapor injected, and accordingly, contact heat collection rate increases at the rear heat transfer portion.
