PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of carrying out maintaining and adjusting operations of the machine mechanism unit in a leaf knitting apparatus under a condition in which the mechanism of the machine mechanism unit is easily observed. SOLUTION: In a leaf knitting apparatus for leaf tobacco having a leaf tobacco-conveying belt D installed on the upper surface of a machine frame B, a continuous rope E continuously fed along the conveying belt and a machine mechanism unit F and continuously sewing leaf tobacco C conveyed by the conveying belt D with laying leaf bases on the continuous rope E, the machine mechanism is brought to be observed from the outside of the machine frame B in maintaining and adjusting operations of the machine mechanism in the machine mechanism unit F.
