Dissociated <i>B. pertussis</i> fimbriae are described. A conjugate of an antigen and a <i>B. pertussis</i> fimbrial protein is prepared by dissociating <i>B. pertussis</i> fimbriae into fimbrial protein subunits and conjugating the antigen to the fimbrial protein subunits. The subunits are optionally denatured as well. The conjugates are used in vaccines. |
