PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce leakage of ink and to uniformize supply pressure of ink, in an ink tank for storing ink to be supplied to the printing head of an ink jet printer or the like. SOLUTION: A foam 222 made of polyether urethane is housed in an ink supply chamber 280 of an ink tank. The foam 222 is constituted so that a part 2221 adjacent to an ink supply hole 202 has a relatively high density and high capillary pressure and a part 2222 adjacent to a free ink chamber region 288 has a relatively low density and low capillary pressure. By this constitution, the supply of ink from the ink tank to the printing head is improved. |
