PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf device for a showcase in which the size forward from a shelf guard can be reduced and the area of a shelf board can be expanded. SOLUTION: The devide includes a shelf decoration 17 provided from the lower side to the front of a front frame 14 and including a vertical wall 34 standing spaced from the front surface of the front frame 14, and a holding member 20 provided between the front frame 14 and the shelf decoration 17. The holding member 20 includes holding walls 45 partly standing at the back side of the vertical wall 34 of the shelf decoration 17 to form a space between the wall and the front frame 14. A shelf guard 18 is inserted and stood into the space between this holding walls 45 and the front surface of the front frame 14, and in such a state, inserting spaces S for a display member 46 are formed between the vertical wall 34 of the shelf decoration 17 except the parts of the holding walls 45, and the shelf guard 18.
