PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative inorganic molding which is excellent in heat resistance, fire resistance, flame resistance, and designability and a method for producing the molding. SOLUTION: The molding is produced through the first process in which a curable composition is obtained by mixing 100 mass pts. of an acidic metal phosphate (A) and 80-200 mass pts. of a curing agent (B) for the metal phosphate, the second process in which a molding material is obtained by combining 100 mass pts. of the curable composition with 5-100 mass pts. of an inorganic reinforcer (C), the third process in which the molding material is heated at 120 deg.C or higher to complete the curing of the material, and the fourth process in which a glass composition is fused on the surface of the obtained inorganic base material. In the molding, the surface of the base material formed from the metal phosphate (A), the curing agent (B), and the reinforce (C) is coated with the glass composition.
