PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for enhancing the recovery of a solvent and easily restoring the adsorbing capacity of a perforated plate comprising activated carbon to the original state only by blowing in steam for a short time. SOLUTION: A steam jet device 7 is deeply penetrated into a solvent recovery device 6 to position jet orifices 72 at the place close to the perforated plate comprising activated carbon and steam ejected from the jet orifices 72 is applied to the substantially whole surface of the perforated plate 5.
